This trend for using the Internet to contact clients and colleagues began several years ago in a very basic form. Business people would take part in conferences using online message boards and forums. This has developed to where businesspeople can utilize software platforms to enable screen sharing – with each user seeing what the presenter or multiple presenters have displayed on their computer screens. When combined with voice over Internet protocol (VOIP), international web conferencing has become much more useful. Indeed, it is getting to the point where physical meetings between distant clients and co-workers may be conducted almost entirely online.
